Hi all - we had a great meeting with good turnout last month at Larry Adam's place in Philipsburg - saw his bees and hives (including a great little observation hive in a shed) and enjoyed a shared potluck picnic - lots of fun! Thanks to all who attended.
This month, Saturday, August 25th, our meeting will be held at Fran and Bob Cooley's apiary: 4572 Clover Hill Lane, Tyrone, PA 16686 (note some GPS systems don't find it so use Warriors Mark for the town instead of Tyrone). We'll meet there at 2p. If you want to get in and take a close look at the hives, please bring whatever protective gear makes you comfortable. Fran says her hives aren't mean, but not as gentle as she'd like :-)
Hopefully we can begin to talk about late summer/early Fall beekeeper duties to get hives ready for overwintering.
