REMINDER: CCBA Club Meetings coming up:
Saturday, June 23rd, 2:00p
Craig Cella's out yard,
Schenks Cemetary, Howard, PA. This location is at Bald Eagle State Park
on Dowdy Hole Road, near the beginning waters of the lake. If you get
to the main entrance to Bald Eagle State Park,
you've gone about 2 miles too far! Traveling from Milesburg on 150,
you have 2 choices: 1) take a Right off 150 onto Nursery Rd. At the T
in the road, take a Left and travel along this road for almost 1 mile
till you get to a Left turn in the road AND a
latched gate ahead. The apiary is behind the latched gate. 2) take
the Right AFTER Nursery Road. At the T in the road you'll see a latched
gate to your left.
The apiary is behind this latched gate. Craig will
be sharing with us at this apiary about his
system for keeping bees on a trailer!
Next one:
Saturday, July 21, 2:00p CCBA meeting and Picnic: Join us at Larry Adam's apiary at 100
Hillcrest Street, Philipsburg, PA 16866. Larry has been keeping bees
for over 40 years, having begun his beekeeping journey at age 16 with a
cutout. He is interested in sharing his experiences with Russian
hybrids in his apiary this year and catching swarms.
Larry would also like to welcome everyone to participate in a POTLUCK
PICNIC during the meeting. He will have place settings available,
the club will supply pulled pork and rolls, water and lemonade - please
bring a side dish or dessert to share, camp chair if you have it; come
see his apiary and stay to talk BEES :-)
