Hi beeks - we had a nice turn out and all had a good time at the meeting on Sunday and the picnic. It was great to have Andy Jones attend - we got to share a little of his bee wisdom along with all the other folks who offered up questions and suggestions!
For the last meeting of the year, Wednesday, Oct. 25th we are going to have a fun event at The Barn in Lemont, 6:30-8:00p pm Wrap up 2017 with a Honey Tasting
- any and all of us can bring a little honey from our hives - we'll
figure out who wins the 'prize' - all in good fun! We'll also have a
mead tasting sponsored by King Mead and they are offering a bee hive as a door prize (yes, a real beehive!). Come join the fun, talk about bees and overwintering and maybe find new community members who 'd like to know more about beekeeping - invite family and friends who
might want to learn more about beekeeping; if you can bring a snack to share, that's great but just come join in!
