CCBA meeting: Member Apiary Visit - Jim Curtis's place: Saturday, June 8th, 2024 at 1:30p
Address: 693 W. Sawmill Rd., Port Matilda, PA 16870
Recommended directions: from State College take I-99 south to the Port Matilda exit (which is just past the turnoff of 322 to Phillipsburg). Turn left at the end of the exit ramp and proceed into Port Matilda. Turn right at the stoplight onto old 220 toward Tyrone. Turn right at Reese Hollow Road, the first road you will come to. Turn right (a sharp right) onto W. Sawmill Rd, which is a gravel road. My house is the first one on the right, a white house set back from the road, and you can see the hives from the road.
NOTE: We need volunteers to host additional apiary visits for July, August, September. Please let us know if you can do this - typically on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon; great way (even for new beekeepers) to have experienced folks answer questions and help you with your hives.
