2013 Meeting Schedule

Our meeting schedule for 2013 is set. The dates for the first two meetings are firm and the others are as firm as the weather permits them to be. The April through September meetings will be held outside at one of our members' apiary and are planned for the third Saturday of the month.

February 20 - Central Pennsylvania Institute for Science and Technology (CPI), 540 North Harrison Rd, Pleasant Gap, PA, 7:00 pm

Topics: Meet and greet and welcome new members, getting started in beekeeping, late winter and early spring preparation and obtaining equipment.

March 20 - CPI, Pleasant Gap, PA 7:00 pm

Topics: Matching mentors with new beekeepers, hiving a package, late winter/early spring management.

The following meeting locations (and topics) are to be determined, but topics will typically feature the most relevant issues for the time of year the meeting is held.

April 20 - Sam Gruneberg's Apiary - 1026 Benner Pike, State College, 2:00pm

Topics: Packages, Nucs and Swarms.

May 18 - Sam Gruneberg's Apiary - 1026 Benner Pike, State College, 2:00pm

June 15 - Butch Hanley's Apiary - Howard, 2:00pm

July 13 - John Hallam's Apiary - Rush Township, 2:00pm

August 17 - Sally Mills' Apiary - Coburn, PA 2:00pm

October 23 - CPI, Pleasant Gap, PA 7:00 pm
